For this month's challenge our artists had fun interpreting the theme "Monochromatic." Entries had to follow the theme and contain 50% polymer clay. Take a look at the unique creations!

1. Purple Monochrome Switchplate by Marcy of MarcymPC
Purple shaded with white was used to create this striped design.
2. Shades of Sage by Linda of NKDesigns
I used four different shades of sage (say that fast three times, LOL) for this mirror compact. It was sanded lightly and buffed to make sure all the tiny pieces were secure. I have a new-found admiration for artists who have mastered this technique as it is quite time consuming, but lots of fun.
3. Silver Fern Brooch No. 120 by Susan of 11BOLDstreet
I chose to interpret in classic shades of black and grey, along with translucent and metallic silver. Disc portion is 2 1/8" diameter.
4. Winter Whites Necklace by Lisa of HiGirls
I wanted to explore shape and texture with this piece while keeping
the color scheme very simple. I experimented with different types of
lentil beads - each with a different texture. The result is a chunky,
rustic piece in pearl and tan.
5. Red Bicone Necklace by Line of PlaySculptLive
I love red during the Christmas season, so I chose red as my monochromatic color for this month's PCAGOE challenge. I'd call this one a statement piece.
6. Monochromatic Mask by Adrienne of WingsofClay
This mask was created using only Peacock Blue pearlized clay, with varying amounts of white and black clay to create tints and shades of the main color. The base of the mask was created using a Skinner Blend gradient from Peacock Blue to Black, and the mask features asymmetrical embellishments including stars and my signature clay "rosettes". Mask is lightweight, wearable, and made entirely of polymer clay.
13. Blue Barrette by Jill of Jkollmann
Blue Barrette features hand crafted individual floral elements, tiny beads and pearls, and crystals against a shaded and textured background from dark to light blue.

7. Winged Dragon at Rest by Linda of Claymation3d
Created from a single custom blended color of polymer
clay, a pearly white, this dragon is covered with lots of textures and
architectural detail. The eyes are hematite. Dimensions Approx:
5-1/2" L x 3" H x 3-1/2" D.
5-1/2" L x 3" H x 3-1/2" D.
8. Retro Cuff Bracelet in Blue by Arlene of Ashpaints
This is my attempt at Bettina Welker's retro pixelated cane using
shades from a very pale blue to very dark blue and is applied to a
brass bracelet form. The inside is marbled with the scraps and
textured for comfort.
9. Checkerboard Votive, Monochromatic by Cindy of ArrowdaleArtStudio
This 3 inch tall votive was shaped like a
flower pot, and I used graduated shades of this sagey-green from the
darkest to the lightest, from bottom to top, then made a checkerboard
cane for the band around the top.
10. Black and White Wallet by Angela of PolymerClayCreations
A monochromatic wallet using only flowers made with black and white
clay in varying shades.
11. Shades of Navy by Marie of YoungCreative
This rocker-style switch plate features a monochromatic color scheme
built around navy blue and white frost translucent.
12. Pendant in Shades of Green by Betty Jo of KnightworkStudio
This is my entry for this months Polymer Clay Artists Guild of Etsy
challenge. The theme is monochromatic, my entry is in shades of
green. I used a striped cane and a texture sheet to make a layered
pendant. On the back is a pinback with a bail so it can be worn as a
pendant or a pin.
13. Blue Barrette by Jill of Jkollmann
Blue Barrette features hand crafted individual floral elements, tiny beads and pearls, and crystals against a shaded and textured background from dark to light blue.
14. Shades of blue ornament set by Beth of CreateMyWorld
3 dimensional ornaments made with polymer clay in tones of blue. For more views of this set please check out my flickr

Deep maroon texture defines this monochromatic piece that shimmers
with embedded mica. This Christmas tree ornament measures 2-1/2 inches
in diameter and is about 1 inch in thickness.
