1. Beach Light Switch Cover by Freda of FredaK
Light switch cover with beach scene

2. Mercat-Catfish Mermaid Ornament by Marie of MarieYoungCreative
Translucent and opaque polymer clay transforms into a sweet, magical "Mercat-Catfish."   See the process on my blog: www.MarieYoungCreative.com

3. Sophisticated Seahorse Aquatic Writing Journal by Theresa of TheClayMonet
Two ornamental seahorses share the cover of this 5" x 7" blank journal, diary, recipe keeper or notebook made from a blend of teal and turquoise polymer clays. Finely appointed with glass beads and charms and finished in shimmering iridescent powders

4. Bathing Beauty by Betsy of StrebeDesigns
I love sculptures, and was so happy to learn to make this one from Lisa Renner (www.lisarenner.com/lrmma/)! Bathing Beauty is 5" tall and 3" wide. She is such a cute addition to our guest bath.

5. Tropical Tassel Necklace No. 186 by Susan of 11BOLDstreet
For the Beach Challenge, I started with a polymer bead whose colors were inspired by a trip to the Keys. The faux coral was from a mold I made from a friend's beach-scavenging collection. Color comes from a blend of white, translucent and pearl, with some pearly taupe rubbed in to bring out the texture. Continuing my current obsession with ball chain, I used copper to create tassels.

6. Tidal pool vessel by Lisa of HiGirls
This funky vessel began as a mold from half of a coconut shell. Inside are pearlescent colors, and the entire thing is encrusted in all sorts of fantastical sea life- of course the huge starfish draped over the edge, sea weed, barnacles, coral, sea anemones and a few shells. 100% polymer clay with a light wash of gray acrylic paint. This little dish measures 4 1/2 inches long by 3 1/2 inches wide and 2 inches high. Please see other views here: www.flickr.com/photos/39493796@N08/

7. Life Is A Beach by Arlene of HarrisonHollow
This is the newest addition to my mini-mosaics line. The tiles are a mix of my finger-painted tiles plus tiles in beachy colors of coral, red, orange, blue, turquoise and sandy tan. The sand dollar is molded with a blend of soft coral to a deeper coral lying on a sandy beach tile and the words "Life Is A Beach" says it all.

8. Surf, Sea and Sand by Marcia of marcympc
A swirling vision of receding waves at the shore - water, foam, sand, ripples, seaweed, reflections. All on a 4" x 4" ceramic tile.

9. Pink Beach Brooch by Line of PlaySculptLive

10. Sea Tossed Shell Necklace by Beth of CreateMyWorldDesigns
Polymer clay seashell pendant necklace. Shell is hand sculpted, blue beads are also made with polymer, all strung on a silk sari necklace.
