July 2016 Challenge - "Music"

2. Music is my Second Language Mixed Media by Arlene of HarrisonHollow.

This fun piece started with a piece of 1/4 inch thick plywood covered in tan clay. The addition of several different textures added interest to the background, then the guitar was added featuring a faux wood twisted blend of clay. The small notes above the scroll are from a mold I made of some scrapbooking pieces and the scroll and message was added last.

3. Jazz Hands by Marie of MarieYoungCreative
This piece was inspired by a photo of a raccoon with a playful hand gesture that made me think of "Jazz Hands." You can read about the project and see more photos here: marieyoungcreative.com/jazz-hands/
