1. Mid Century Mod Necklace by Lisa of HiGirls
Inspired by home decor trends of the 1950s, this polymer necklace is a deep turquoise piece with carved design highlighted with black acrylic paint. Hand rolled mod bi cones are strung on black wire. All sanded and buffed to a soft sheen.
2. Glory Days Monkey Astronaut by Marie of MarieYoungCreative
I was trying to think of what I wanted to enter in the PCAGOE challenge "Retro" when the latest issue of Smithsonian magazine arrived. The cover featured a cute retro spaceman toy and somehow that translated to monkey astronaut in my head. Read more about its creation: http://marieyoungcreative.com/monkey-astronaut/
3. Flower Power Votive Holder by Arlene of Ashpaints
What is more fun - and more retro - than these simple layered flowers done in bright fun colors to remind us of the hippy days of the 70s. The flowers are textured to add just a big more interest then an acrylic glaze is used to bring out the designs. The flowers are mounted on a 3 inch glass votive holder.

7. Retro Jukebox Music Box by Betsy of StrebeDesigns
Made for the PCAGOE June challenge "retro". This vintage looking jukebox is a music box that plays "Yesterday" by the Beatles. jukeboxes were a big part of my high school years and I wanted to capture those memories in this piece.
